Pumpkin Day and PTA!!

Hi everyone!!

If you celebrate Halloween, Día de los muertos or are attending any Fall Festivals, have a delicious time with your family and encourage your children to be cautious as they go trick-or-treating!!  I, myself, will try not to eat all of the candy I have bought to pass out at my house :)

Our PTA does wonderful things for our scholars and the staff here at Cannon each year.  We really appreciate their hard work, and they are always needing more volunteers!  Please consider helping PTA this year as they coordinate events and opportunities for our scholars!

Si usted celebra Halloween, Día de los muertos, o están asistiendo a las fiestas del otoño, que tengan un tiempo delicioso con su familia y alentar a sus hijo/as a ser cautelosos ya que ir "trick-or-treating"!  Por mi parte, trataré de no comer todos los dulces que he comprado por los niños que visiten mi casa :)

State of Matter Presentations Introduction

Hi everyone!

Is it almost November already?!  These first 9 weeks of school have just flown by!  I am having so much fun with all of the 4th graders and I'm excited about all the accomplishments they will achieve this year!

Below I have posted a video that tells you about what we have been working on the past few weeks.  This video gives you an overview of the process your children went through in order to make their AWESOME Changing State of Matter Presentations!  I will be posting all of their videos this week so that you will be able to see the culmination of all of their work!

I hope this video makes you excited to see their presentations!  Feel free to leave a comment about what you think about the work your children are doing.  Stay tuned for the next blog to see how their final presentations!

Hola a todos!

Ya es casi noviembre?!  ¡Estas primeras 9 semanas de clases acaban volando! ¡Me estoy divirtiendo mucho con todos los alumnos de 4to y estoy emocionada por todos los logros que se alcanzarán este año!

Arriba, he publicado un video que habla de lo que hemos estado trabajando en las últimas semanas.  Este video ofrece una visión general del proceso que sus hijo/as hicieron para hacer sus presentaciones fantásticas de los cambios de materia!  ¡Voy a publicar todos sus videos de esta semana de modo que usted será capaz de ver la culminación de todo su trabajo!

4th Grade Faces!

Pictures of some of our 4th grade Scientists are being featured right now!  The pictures you will see highlight the work that will be displayed in my next blog post.  The students have been learning about matter and why it changes.  They had to research in groups, plan their presentations and teach the rest of the class about what they learned.  They really did an amazing job.  You'll be able to see their actual presentations on my next post, so stay tuned!
